When Metro was Flush

@mikepetrucci I present to you, the Huntington Metro bathroom: http://www.twitvid.com/LRLUR

You may know about the worst toilet in Scotland, but what about the BEST toilet in all of WMATA?
The one. The only. They installed it in 2003 for a mere $109,000. That is all.

Other items:

Bus "makes contact" with pedestrian (News Channel 8)

Where's the button that pops out Larry Craig for a handjob?

Ah, I see the elevator music is back. They had that turned off for a while. Additionally, the inside of that commode seriously needs to be refinished. It used to be white inside, and now the metal is showing...

Sorry. I cannot bring myself to use it. I see fingerprints on that stainless steel. And where is my pre-warmed hand-towel? UNacceptable. ;-D

Metrorail is an obsolete 2-track system that was designed in 1965 to serve an moderate density urban area and light density suburban area in a climate where it never snows and seldom rains.

@10:16, not sure what that has to do with this toilet.

Is that a poo smear on the wall at :20?

How nasty do you think the button for the TP is?

Full length mirror to make sure you look good on the train...or the drive home.

Smartrip is probably dirty, good thing you got it washed hands free!

Weak sauce. Only the toilet seat (and maybe the floor) appears to be cleaned between occupants. In Europe and Asia, I've seen toilets where the entire interior was sprayed-down after each use.

America's urban public toilet situation today is kind of like the Soviet grocery store situation in the 70s: maybe better than the Third World, but pretty pitiful by any other standard.

Ha! They had these in the downtown area of the area I grew up in, in East Los Angeles. They're self-cleaning. There, they cost fifty cents for entry, but the taxpayers approved 'em and the City Council bought 'em -- and everyone loved 'em. What was once a downtown area with squirming homeless, caffeine-addled 20-something loiterers, and parents with whiny kids, became a happy, friendly place because everyone had a place "to go". When the bums asked you for fifty cents, you knew what it was for, and you gave it to 'em and everything was all right. Clean public bathrooms. The key to civic happiness.

I'd be happy if they just had a bucket and some leaves.

@Unsuck, ah my apologies! They're a treat, albeit quite corny.

Where inside the station is this bathroom? I've been in that station a bunch of times and have never seen it, nor a sign indicating where it might be.

This has been there for months, how come you just noticed? and they put this only at Huntington station, because the many U.S. military personnel that commute in their way to some base in VA, need a place to relax and meditate before going to "work".
